Picture waking up to the sound of the Mediterranean lapping against the shore, stepping onto your private terrace, and watching the horizon stretch out in an unbroken sweep of blue. This duplex penthouse sits right on the seafront in Colonia de Sant Jordi — one of southeastern Mallorca’s most beloved coastal villages — and delivers that morning ritual every single day. Colonia de Sant Jordi has long been a favorite among those in the know. It’s a working fishing village that has held onto its soul — no mega-resorts, no gridlocked promenades, just a pretty harbor, honest seafood restaurants, and some of the most jaw-dropping beaches in the entire Mediterranean within easy reach. Life here moves at exactly the pace you want it to.

Two floors designed around the view

The property spreads across two well-defined levels, with the sea view woven into the layout at every turn. On the lower floor, the open-plan living and dining area flows naturally onto a terrace where the Mediterranean becomes your backdrop for morning coffee or evening wine. The integrated kitchen is fully equipped and ready for everything from a quick breakfast to a dinner party. A double bedroom and a full bathroom complete this level, making it entirely self-sufficient if needed.

Head upstairs and the apartment reveals its best card: a second flexible space — perfect as a reading nook, home office, or extra lounge — leading into the main double bedroom with direct access to the upper terrace. Up here, the sea views are utterly unobstructed and genuinely breathtaking. This is the kind of space that makes you rethink what a morning routine can look like.

Comfort year-round

The penthouse is equipped for every season. Air conditioning on the lower floor keeps summers effortlessly cool, while heating means the apartment stays warm and inviting well into autumn and through the quieter winter months, when Colonia de Sant Jordi takes on a wonderfully peaceful character. A storage room handles beach gear, bikes, snorkeling equipment, and everything else that comes with a life lived close to the water.

Beaches, restaurants, and the best of the southeast coast

Step outside and you’re already on the waterfront promenade. Es Trenc, just minutes by car, is the island’s most celebrated natural beach — a long sweep of powdery white sand and shallow turquoise water that feels more Caribbean than European. Cala Ses Roquetes and the Estanys lagoon area offer quieter, more sheltered spots for swimming and snorkeling. Kitesurfers and windsurfers head to Es Dolç for the reliable tramontana breeze.

For day trips, the market town of Santanyí is fifteen minutes inland and well worth the drive — its Saturday market draws locals and visitors alike with local produce, Mallorcan crafts, and a lively atmosphere that spills out of the main square into the surrounding streets.

Whether you’re planning a summer escape or a longer extended stay, this penthouse puts you exactly where you want to be.
