Imagine waking up to church bells, the smell of fresh bread from the bakery on the corner, and a view of terracotta rooftops stretching out toward fields of almond trees. That is everyday life in Montuïri — one of Mallorca’s most authentic inland villages, perched on a hilltop in the heart of the island’s agricultural plain, the Pla de Mallorca. And at the center of that life sits this impressive 195 m² village house, a six-bedroom property spread across three floors, full of character and brimming with potential.

The ground floor sets an immediately welcoming tone. A generous entrance hall flows into a bright reception room, followed by a second living area that can easily become a home office, library, or playroom. Two bedrooms — one single, one double — are also located on this level, alongside a formal dining room, an independent kitchen, and a full bathroom. From here, the home opens directly onto its most prized feature: a private patio enclosed by the kind of thick stone walls that keep things cool even in the height of summer. There’s a covered outdoor area here too, perfect for alfresco dining or simply relaxing in the shade with a good book.

The upper floors expand the home’s possibilities considerably. In total, the house offers six bedrooms, making it an ideal fit for large families, multi-generational households, or anyone who loves having room to host friends and family from abroad. A fireplace — the beating heart of the main living room — promises cozy winter evenings when the Mallorcan nights turn crisp. A terrace and a balcony bring the outdoors back in, offering elevated views over the village rooftops and the patchwork of fields and countryside that surrounds Montuïri in every direction.

Practical details are well covered too. A traditional Mallorcan coladuría (laundry room) and a dedicated storage room add real everyday functionality. The property is being sold unfurnished, which is genuinely good news for buyers who want to put their own stamp on the space — whether that means a sensitive restoration using traditional materials or a contemporary renovation that contrasts beautifully with the historic shell.

Montuïri’s location is one of its strongest selling points. The village sits almost exactly at the geographic center of Mallorca, which means everything is within easy reach. The stunning beaches of the southern coast — Es Trenc, Ses Covetes, Colònia de Sant Jordi — are under 30 minutes away by car. Palma, with its world-class restaurants, museums, and airport connections, is roughly 20 minutes east. The famous Wednesday market at Sineu is just a short drive away, as are the artisan shops and cafés of Algaida and Petra.
